Peter & Clare

On August 17th we celebrated the wedding of my brother Peter and his girlfriend (now wife)! Clare, at Loseley Park, Surrey.

The day kicked off with the bride, bridesmaids and mothers of the bride and groom getting their hair and make up done in the bridal suite at The Radisson hotel in Guildford....

Then it was off to Losely Park for the ceremony. Peter started to get a little nervous as we waited for everybody to take their seats.

Our very loud, deaf and slightly confused Nana kept everybody entertained with her rantings!

After a slightly panicked few minuets, waiting for the pianist to turn up, the ceremony proceeded without a hitch and everybody gathered around to take pictures of the new Mr. & Mrs. Ward sign the register.

Guests gathered outside the impressive house to congratulate the bride and groom.

We then moved out into the beautiful gardens for drinks and canapes

We than made our way to the barn for the reception.....

Congratulations Peter & Clare!!!

Olympic BMX finals

Well, I don't know about you, but I have been really enjoying watching the Olympics this summer. My bike mad boyfriend and I were lucky enough to be invited by family who had tickets through the ballot, to watch the BMX finals. The whole experience was fantastic from walking round the park and admiring the architecture of the different stadiums, to watching the BMX free stylers and the athletes compete. Commiserations to both Shanaze Reade and Liam Phillips our British hopefuls who did brilliantly in the heats but missed out on the medals in the final races. Respect to all the competitors, it was fantastic to watch and of course, photograph! Check out my Jo Ward Photography Facebook page to see more images from the day.

British Summertime

This week I have been trying to get outside with my camera to take a few pictures. Easier said than done though due to the constantly changing, but predominantly wet and foul, weather we have been enduring of late. At least rain equals interesting cloud formation! The pictures tell the story.

On Tuesday it was cold and windy with big, tempestuous rain clouds looming above Hythe beach. On Thursday, in a meadow in Boxley near Maidstone, it was hot, sunny and the sky was blue dotted with passing fluffy white clouds. I have to say that the latter was a more enjoyable experience and fun due to the fact i got to try out a few new lenses on loan to me. So far i am LOVING the wide-angle Canon 10-22mm. Its such a fun lens and has a great clear quality. It might have to stay in my camera bag :)
